About Us

When Colorado youth have access to high-quality healthcare, they’re healthier, they miss less school, and they do better academically.

Youth Healthcare Alliance, formerly Colorado Association for School-Based Health Care (CASBHC), was established as a nonprofit membership association in 1996 to support school-based clinics in our state.

Since our founding, we’ve helped communities throughout Colorado establish, operate, and expand school-based clinics to ensure K-12 students and their families receive comprehensive, equitable healthcare.

As the unifying, collaborative body for Colorado’s 72 school-based clinics, we are committed to identifying and translating the needs of our members into policy and providing them with essential resources, guidance, and services.

Our Mission

Our Mission

Our Core Values

We Believe in Equity

Every student has the right to fair and just access to health care to achieve optimal outcomes. There is power in diverse communities, the people who live there are the experts in what they need, and school-based clinics are driven by the unique values of the communities where they are located. School-based clinics are an equity investment in diverse communities that have not been resourced otherwise.

We Believe in Collaboration

There is power in partnerships across all levels of health care, education, and community. We also partner with young people as we believe in their power and that they can take charge of their health and well-being.

We Believe in Advocacy

There is power at the intersection of education and health care to increase access to whole-person care in schools. We will persistently advocate for youth and school-based clinics, on their behalf and alongside them.
